Warcasters are defined by their ability to affect Warjacks. Although they cast arcane spells, they advance slower than a Sorcerer or Wizard.
Warcaster Spell Advancement
[Note: This is assuming acrane mechanik to lvl. 8, then 6 levels of warcaster, bringing your Effective Level (EL) to 14. You should be gaining Epic level spells no later than EL 27.]0/1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9/Epic
A Warcaster’s base attack advances as a rogue, and saves advance as a cleric.

Where I have added to this class …
The first 6 levels of the Warcaster prestige class cover “Journeyman” warcaster status. After examining the lore, there is clearly a hierarcy within warcaster culture.
A Journeyman warcaster has a “Focus” of 2 + Warcaster level (not EL). Thus a Journeyman warcaster who is Wiz8/Wrc3 has a focus of 5. Focus is spent kind of like Mana in MtG. I have created 3 higher warcaster statuses past Journeyman. Because you can’t be level 20+ adventurer and be considered a “Journeyman” at anything. All bonuses and abilities are considered in addition to the Journeyman stuff.
Field Warcaster [Wrc lvls. 7-13]:
A Field Warcaster gains the following Focus Abilities …
Greater Sense Cortex: May sense sense if there is an active cortex within a 150 ft. radius. Concentration DC is 22. After a second round, warcaster can determine the number and their distance from him.
Spring Attack: By spending a Focus point, a warcaster may have his/her warjack act as though they have the “Spring Attack” feat for one round.
Block: A Field Warcaster can counter another Warcaster’s focus ability. In doing so, the opponents enter a Focus challenge. Each caster wagers an amount of the focus they have left, adds 1/2 their warcaster level (round down) and rolls a d6. Highest number wins and gains 2 focus for the round. Loser loses 4 focus (up to) and cannot use focus for the remainder of the round.
Shift: By spending a focus point, a warcaster and his warjack switch places. They must be within 100 ft of each other.
Marshall Warcaster [Wrc lvls. 14-19]
A Marshall Warcaster gain the following abilities …
Cloak Cortext: By spending two focus points, a warcaster may “Cloak” a friendly warjack’s cortex for 1 rd. The warcaster must make a concentration check = target warjack’s HD. This ability may be “kept up” each round for the cost of 1 focus.
Push Cortex: By spending a focus point, a warcaster may “push” an opposing warjack up to 30 ft. The warcaster must make a concentration check = target warjack’s HD.
Mega Warcaster [Wrc lvls. 20+]
Stun Cortex: By spending two focus points, a warcaster may “stun” an opposing warjack for 1 round. That warjack may make a Will saving throw DC = 10 + Warcaster level.
Whirlwind: By spending two focus points, a warcaster may have his/her warjack act as though it has “Whirlwind Attack” for one round.
Expanded Focus bonuses for “Augment Jack” ability [Journeyman]
-You may spend focus to augment your jack’s attack bonus, damage bonus, AC or even number of attacks for one round.
